Texas sites doing hot work next to live hydrocarbons.

You asked for one example

Golden Pass LNG, Sabine Pass, Texas

Train 1 made its first LNG on March 30, 2026 and shipped its first cargo on April 22. Trains 2 and 3 are still being finished on the same site.
So the welding and grinding on the two new trains, and every tie-in back to Train 1, happens next to a train running on live gas. The plant keeps shipping while the work goes on.
From Golden Pass LNG's first cargo announcement (April 22, 2026) and WorkBoat (September 13, 2026).
Why it fits PetroHab

The job your habitats were built for

At Golden Pass
In PetroHab's own words
Hot work beside an LNG train that is running
"Our habitats feature an automatic system that monitors pressure and gas levels, shutting down instantly if unsafe conditions are detected."
Welding and grinding on two trains still being built
"A fire-safe, controlled environment for high-risk tasks like welding and grinding."

Maintenance runs the work on the live train. Safety sets the hot work rules for the whole site.

More Texas LNG trains going up beside live ones

Cheniere, Corpus Christi Liquefaction

Trains 8 and 9

Two more midscale trains, built adjacent to the seven already running. At June 30, 2026 the project was 48.3% complete with field construction at 6.7%, so most of the welding is still ahead. Cheniere targets completion in the second half of 2028.

Josh Steele, Maintenance Superintendent

NextDecade, Rio Grande LNG

Brownsville

First gas into the plant in the second half of 2026 and first LNG from Train 1 in the first half of 2027, while Trains 3, 4 and 5 are still being built. At June 2026, construction on Train 4 was 1.4% done.

Marco Galvan, Manager, Terminal Construction ISBL, Rio Grande LNG
From Cheniere's second quarter 2026 results (August 6, 2026) and NextDecade's second quarter 2026 update (July 30, 2026).
